ADHD & Autism
Every child experiences the world differently. Children with ADHD or autism often have unique strengths alongside challenges with emotions, attention, confidence or managing change. Therapy provides a supportive space to help children better understand themselves and develop skills that make everyday life feel easier.
ADHD
Children with ADHD may experience difficulties with attention, impulsivity and emotional regulation. They may feel easily frustrated, overwhelmed or struggle with confidence, particularly if they feel misunderstood at school or home.
Sessions focus on helping children develop practical skills to manage challenges such as:
• emotional regulation and managing big feelings
• impulsivity and frustration
• attention and organisation difficulties
• low confidence or self-esteem
• anxiety linked to feeling “different”
• motivation and task completion
• managing transitions and routines
Children are supported to better understand how their brain works, helping them feel more confident, capable and in control.

Autism (ASC) Support
Children with autism may experience the world as overwhelming at times, particularly in relation to change, sensory sensitivities, uncertainty or social situations. Therapy provides a calm and supportive space where children can feel understood and accepted.
Support may include:
• managing anxiety and overwhelm
• understanding emotions
• coping with change or uncertainty
• building confidence in social situations
• emotional regulation strategies
• understanding sensory needs
• managing school-related stress
The approach is neurodiversity-affirming, recognising each child’s individual strengths and differences. The aim is to help children feel understood, confident and supported in a way that respects who they are.
