Me

Hello

Hello, I’m Siobhan.

I’m a therapist, a mum, and someone who truly understands how hard it can feel when your child is struggling.

I’ve experienced first hand what it feels like for a child to feel “different”, and supported my own son through challenges including ADHD traits, big emotions and difficulties adjusting to new environments and schools. Like many parents, there have been moments where I’ve felt worried, unsure what to do, and wanted someone who truly understood both the clinical side and the real life side of parenting.

Moving internationally showed me how adaptable children can be but also how important it is for them to feel understood, supported and secure in who they are.

I created this service to offer the kind of support I would have wanted myself:
someone warm, practical, evidence-based, and genuinely invested in helping children feel happier and more confident.

I believe every child is doing the best they can with the skills they currently have and with the right support, those skills can grow.

My approach is gentle, collaborative and positive. I work not only with the child, but with the whole system around them parents, schools and other professionals, so that progress feels supported in everyday life, not just in sessions.

You are not alone in this, and things really can get easier.

My Background

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with specialist training in working with children and young people. Before this I worked as Children's Wellbeing Practitioner so I have over 5 years of working with children and families in a therapeutic capacity.

I have worked across a range of settings including:

• NHS Talking Therapies services
• CAMHS and school based mental health teams
• International schools
• Private practice
• Neurodevelopmental services supporting ADHD and Autism

My work includes supporting children and young people with:

• ADHD and attention difficulties
• Autism (ASC)
• Anxiety disorders such as OCD, GAD, Social Anxiety
• Low mood
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Anger and frustration
• School avoidance
• Adjustment to new environments or countries
• Self-esteem difficulties

Alongside working directly with children, I also provide structured parent support sessions to help parents feel more confident responding to emotional and behavioural challenges at home.

I have extensive experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds and understand the unique challenges that can come with relocation, international schooling and identity development.

My work is guided by evidence-based approaches including:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
• Compassion focused approaches
• Parent-led interventions
• Emotion coaching
• Behavioural strategies
• Developmentally appropriate therapeutic support

I am currently completing BABCP accreditation as a High Intensity CBT Therapist. As this process is in progress, I am unfortunately unable to accept insurance funded clients at present, however this is expected to change in the near future.

My practice is fully supervised in line with professional standards to ensure safe, ethical and high-quality care.
